First Line provides plain or uniformed security solely for special events, and as you would expect from employing any well-trained, well-organised professional team, we offer free advice on any security aspect of your event. Professional and specialised security will not only help the smooth running of any event, but also portray that all-important professional image and conduct towards the public.

Attitudes towards security are changing, but a greater understanding is needed of the benefits of the fully trained, well equipped and wellbriefed security officer. It is an unfortunate approach that some people have towards security, including event security which First Line specialise in, if one person in a uniform satisfies the insurance requirements of an organiser then why should they be interested in that persons ability, experience or training.

Only when things go wrong and the incidents analysed later are questions asked:

• Could it have been managed better?
• Could it have been dealt with quicker?
• Could it have been prevented from happening all together?

We all know prevention is better than a cure, and the assets of a well trained security officer in good communication skills (verbal and non verbal), Inter personal skills (reading situations) and sure judgement is priceless. It is a shame insurance companies do not recognise or differentiate between a person in a uniform and a highly trained professional security officer.
